HDMA RECOGNIZES VALUECENTRIC, LLC WITH DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT AWARD

Award Celebrates Innovative Business Process Improvements, Trading Partner Initiatives That Benefit the Healthcare Supply Chain

ARLINGTON, Va., March 8, 2011 – On Tuesday, March 8, 2011, the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) recognized ValueCentric, LLC with its 2011 Distribution Management Award for the company’s ValueTrak Safe & Secure Supply Chain Module. The award, presented at the Association’s 2011 Distribution Management Conference and Technology Expo in Tampa, Fla., recognizes member companies’ efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare supply chain and enhance trading partner relationships.

Launched in 2010, ValueCentric’s ValueTrak Safe & Secure Supply Chain Module was developed to meet the needs of manufacturers and distributors seeking to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of high-risk pharmaceuticals such as controlled substances. ValueCentric’s new module leverages supply chain data in the company’s ValueTrak system to alert trading partners in near real time of important events or unusual product demand and supply behavior around highly sensitive products. By gaining a more transparent view of supply chain market activity through the ValueTrak Safe & Secure Supply Chain Module, trading partners can detect and prevent potential diversion and abuse of prescription medicines, therefore enhancing supply chain security and efficiency. The real-time monitoring offered by the module can help bolster productivity by reducing manual monitoring efforts by 50 percent or more.

“The focus on enhanced patient safety and supply chain security has never been greater,” said Perry Fri, HDMA Senior Vice President of Industry Relations, Membership & Education. “We’re pleased ValueCentric can help trading partners rapidly identify and address issues with this new solution and congratulate them on winning the 2011 Distribution Management Award.”

Now in its second year, HDMA annually presents the Distribution Management Award to a member company or companies that demonstrate the value of distribution by developing creative, results-oriented programs and processes in areas ranging from technology and operations to trade and promotional planning that benefit the healthcare supply chain, customers and consumers, and engage in successful trading partner relationships.
