Honoring a Commitment to Continuous Business Process Improvement
in the Healthcare Supply Chain
HDMA’s Distribution Management Award recognizes HDMA member companies’ efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare supply chain and enhance relationships with their trading partners.
The award highlights innovative business process improvements and the latest best practices in technology, operations and category management. It also honors customer solutions and trade and promotional planning that:
- Significantly reduce costs;
- Create new business opportunities; and
- Enhance services that positively affect product sales or marketing.
This honor is awarded to an HDMA member company — distributor, manufacturer or service provider — or to multiple member companies that recently engaged in a joint trading partner initiative.
Companies must have implemented the nominated business processes or solutions in the last 12 months ending
December 31, 2011. The award is a company award; team members involved in the project will be recognized.
Winners demonstrate the value of distribution by developing creative, results-oriented programs and processes that set the standard for excellence in the healthcare industry by benefiting the supply chain, customers and consumers. Recipients serve as a model for leadership and innovation in the healthcare marketplace and demonstrate the power of successful trading partner relationships.
A panel of judges — selected from among HDMA distributor, manufacturer and service provider member companies represented on the Industry Relations Council and select HDMA committees — will review the nominations based on select criteria below. A slate of finalists will be determined, and a final vote by the judges will decide the winner.
